Al Bahri: Journal of Islamic Education is peer review journal was firstly published by Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Darul Qur'an Payakumbuh. The journal is aimed at spreading the research results conducted by academicians, researchers, and practitioners in the field of Islamic Education and Learning. The journal is published periodically twice a year, i.e., every June (first edition) and December (second edition).

Al Bahri Journal was developed to realize the Tri Dharma of Islamic Education Study Programme STAI Darul Qur'an Payakumbuh. In line with the vision of this journal which focuses on research and development of the study of Islamic Education and Learning by publishing research results in the form of ideas, theories, methods, and studies of other actual problems related to the study of the latest issues and trends occurring internationally in curriculum, instruction, learning, policy and preparation of teachers with the aim to advance our knowledge of education theory and practice in Islamic Education.
